Introduction to
Academic Writing 2

In this course you will complete weekly writing activities, participate in discussion forums,
and watch lectures that will help you learn how to write short essays. Since the class
does not meet in real time, you can complete the weekly activities at your own pace,
whenever you have time during the week.
The class activities will be completed on this website and a password protected class
page on the Colorado State University Writing Studio website. Use this class website to:
- View the course videos
- Find links to information related to the class
You will have a personal account on the Writing Studio which will allow you to access the
Introduction Academic Writing class page. On the Writing Studio you will:
- Answer weekly discussion questions and respond to your classmates' ideas in the
Discussion Forum
- Submit weekly assignments in using the File Folders
- Find links to other websites that will help you successfully write short essays
- View your grades
Upon successfully completing 80% of the course work you will receive a certificate of
completion from the St. Mary College/Nunoike Gaigo Senmon Gakko extension program.
